This page tells you a bit about my role as Clinical Supervisor. This service is available to Counsellors and Psychotherapists as well as to Keyworkers, Support Workers and Project Workers; whose work involves supporting clients.
As Clinical Supervisor my role, in working with a supervisee, is to:

My areas of focus, for the supervisee, are:

My style of work aims to deliver a relationship with the supervisee, comprising of:
- Mutual openness
- Help to enable the supervisee to feel comfortable within supervision
- Help to enable the supervisee to accept constructive criticism
- Mutual respect
- Mutual acceptance of differing styles and orientations as practictioners
- Consistency
- Emotional support to the supervisee
- Sharing of clinical responsibilities
My aim is to deliver, to the supervisee, the following:

- Concern for the supervisee; distinct from that of their client
- Validation
- Safety
- Trust
- Acceptance
- Clear guidance
- Regular Feedback
- Honesty
- Encouragement to make decisions
- Recognition that it is okay to sometimes 'get it wrong'.
